A good sign that Fall is here, the fair. Once the Tri-state Fair makes its way to town, you know the weather is going to start to getting cooler.  It never fails, at the beginning of fair week, everyone is in shorts and by the end make sure to take your sweater.  Not only the fair, but Amarillo is suddenly invaded with all types of fall and harvest festivals.  Fall is here.

As Fall approaches, the days start to get shorter. Daylights savings is coming to an end and the sun begins to set earlier. This is actually a good thing for parents. They will not have to fight with their kids about bedtime. Get ready for it to be dark by 7pm. A good sign Fall is here.

As Fall approaches, your lawn and all vegetation get ready for hibernation. You no longer have to mow your lawn every week. The tree leaves begin to change colors and fall. Even if you do not have trees, somehow leaves always end up in your yard. It is now time to put the lawnmower away and bring out the rake. Leaves on the ground is definite sign that Fall is here.

A great sign that Fall is here is football. Schools are in high team spirits supporting their football teams. Homecomings are everywhere. And of course, the NFL season is up and running. If its Monday night, you can walk into any sports bar in town and watch a game. Especially if the Dallas Cowboys are playing. The pigskin means Fall!

The last sign that Fall is here-You begin to see Christmas Decorations in every single store you walk into. Now specialty stores like Hobby Lobby have had Christmas Decorations for sale since July. But as Fall approaches, Walmart, Target, and even the Dollar store have their Christmas Decorations for sale. Halloween hasn't even hit yet, but the stores are gearing up for Christmas. Fall is definitely here.
