While Disney might be holding back some of its best stuff for Comic-Con this year, that doesn’t mean there weren’t a few Star Wars: The Last Jedi teasers that they could share at this past weekend’s D23. Just yesterday, we were treated to a new featurette that went behind the scenes of the production; right on the heels of that comes these new character posters, a beautiful new mix of familiar faces and bright colors. It’s not exactly the brand new trailer that some were hoping for, but it should keep us occupied until the next opportunity presents itself.

These six new posters (via SyFy and ComingSoon.net) highlight some of our favorite characters new and old. We’ve got Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Rey (Daisy Ridley), Leia (Carrie Fisher), Finn (John Boyega), Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), each decked out in crimson red colors against a white background. Take a look for yourself:

Pretty great, right? No matter how you feel about the Star Wars universe as a whole, it’s hard to deny that their artwork has always been a cut above the rest when it comes to movie franchises. These are the kind of posters that make even a hardened old Star Wars  grump like myself start mentally clearing off some wall space in my apartment. And while there will undoubtedly be some who comb every inch of these posters for some indication of spoilers or plot points in the film, I’m content to just sit back and enjoy them for what they are. Well, that, and also rejoice at the fact that Oscar Isaac seems to have graduated to the Star Wars big league in this movie. That’s pretty great news, too.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi will hit theaters on December 15, 2017.
