Yes, Amarillo Globe News is about to begin the annual Best of Amarillo poll and I bring this up because last year, our very own Tommy the Hacker took 1st place in best of Amarillo for the Best Radio DJ nomination.  I was in the running as well, but just seeing a person from my family win made me so happy!  Also, 96.9 KISS-FM was in the top 3 running to be the Best Radio Station in Amarillo, and this year, we think the station you built should make it to the top spot and win 1st place in Best of Amarillo!  Well, the Best of 2013 Nominations have began!

Yes, it has begun!  I chose today to be the official start of Dallas Chambers Daddy Days because today was our 1st sonogram!  What an exciting feeling I'm overwhelmed with!  I never really considered myself a "kid person", not the parental figure type, but now that my wife and I are expecting, the feeling has changed, and after the sonogram today, the feeling has become so surreal that it's finally hitting me, I'M ABOUT TO BE A FATHER!

I know, I'm such a tree-hugging hippie.  I was out in the parking lot with my friend, James G, from our sister station News Talk 940am, when I saw this bird walking around.  Nothing new, but then the bird turned, and I could tell it's wing was injured.  It's right wing was just hanging down like it's broken.  So I walked up to it, and it didn't fly away, a huge red flag that it has a broken wing!  I chased it for a few steps, caught it, and here we are.
