APD has confirmed that the driver and a passenger of a stolen truck are dead after crashing into a semi-truck.

  Amarillo Police are looking for the driver that was involved in a hit and run accident that killed a pedestrian at 45th & the Canyon E-Way.  Police have identified the pedestrian as 45 year old Geoffrey Lynn Slover of Amarillo.  All we have to go off at the moment is the vehicle being described as a "light colored, 4 door mid-sized sedan, with damage to the windshield and hood". Around 7:30a, Amarillo police officers were dispatched to a traffic collision in the 4600 block of Bushland Blvd.  Upon arrival, officers learned that a forklift collided with a Ford F-350 truck while the forklift operator was trying to cross Bushland Blvd.  The driver of the forklift sustained injuries from the crash, and later died at the hospital.

An early morning traffic accident on Saturday claimed the life of one of the drivers, Mary Nancy Encinias.  She was driving a Chevy Cobalt, which was struck by a Dodge truck driven by Billy Don Ware.  The accident took place at 9th & Pierce in downtown Amarillo.  Alcohol and speed are believed to have been a factor in the accident.
