Over $575,000 in marijuana and hashish was seized on I-40 by Texas DPS.  That's a lot of giggle weed!  Imagine all the munchies that shall go wanting.  All the soda cans left unopened, all the cookies that won't be eaten.  A tragedy...

Over the weekend at this years "Hempfest,"  local police decided to give back and raise awareness in a not so traditional way. The annual festival, known as the world's largest pot rally, is always celebrated in the heart of Seattle.  As you may know,  2013 is the first year the state of Washington has legalized recreational marijuana for adults over the age of 21...

Amarillo Police officers spotted a Nissan weaving on I40 with New Mexico license plates heading east on I40 near Soncy.  They watched the vehicle and when the driver changed lanes without using a signal, they pulled the vehicle over.  A female was driving and was the only occupant of the vehicle, well besides the 26 pounds of pot she had riding shotgun I guess.

Close to $40,000 in giggle weed was seized by Texas DPS officers on Thursday afternoon.  The bust was made on I40 in Potter County, near Amarillo.  That's roughly 70 pounds of the Cannabis!  How ironic, I watched We're The Millers last night!

Deputies seized up to 65 pounds of marijuana on Sunday evening after four men were pulled over after a traffic stop near I-40 and Bell st. The passengers ages  in the vehicle were 27, 21, 18 and 16, all from California. Police said they don’t believe the two teens in the vehicle had any clue of the transport of the marijuana...

Today a man was arrested  for possession of 24 pounds of marijuana at the Amarillo bus terminal while he was awaiting his next Greyhound bus to get him out of the city.  He was traveling through, transporting the drugs on his bus trip.

A Police Officer in Dearborn, MI made a routine stop where he found some marijuana.  Instead of turning it in, he confiscated it and basically stole it, put it in his pocket for experimentation later.  Well, him and his wife used the giggle weed to make brownies, and thought they overdosed on pot, so what did the cop do?  He called 911.  That's all those street smarts!

One of the biggest stories out of last week's election was that voters in Colorado and Washington State chose to legalize marijuana. States like California had previously approved medical marijuana, but Colorado and Washington are the first to also approve cannabis for recreational use.

The Texas Department of Public Safety found a drug bust in what was just a routine traffic stop.  I mean just over $100,000 worth of giggle weed in Oldham County.

It's a sad day when a teenager with so much life ahead of them gets arrested for something stupid.  Drug possession can often lead to a future of criminal activity.
