If something terrible was going to happen at your kid's school such as the shooting in Parkland, FL. What would the school do to keep your child safe?

The only school shooting that has occurred in Amarillo was nearly 20 years ago at Palo Duro High school. Thankfully for the ones present there were no casualties and only a few were injured. Even though it was a long time ago, no one who was there can forget the terrifying and hopeless experience.

A student with a shotgun walked into Arapahoe High School in Colorado on Friday, apparently targeting a teacher, and shot a fellow student before turning the gun on himself. The teenager who was shot was taken to a local Hospital and is listed in critical condition.

With all the shootings that have happened at schools across the country, the last thing you want to hear is your child coming home and telling you it happened at their school.  Well, it happened at Wayne County school and it was all planned by the school officials!

As Vice President Joe Biden held a press conference talking about the progress the White House has made with their Gun Violence Task Force today, news hit that there had been 2 people shot in a school shooting in California at Taft High School.

It is always a sad day when people decide to take other people's lives, especially children. Nine adults and 18 children dead this morning as gunmen entered an elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut.
