From the beginning of time it seems like that the dress code has been a hot topic at schools. I get it. It is a learning environment. Sometimes the schools go a little too far.
We all know that the graduates this year have encountered an interesting school year. They have all missed out on a regular graduations. They have been able to have virtual graduations that started with them at a location social distancing. Amarillo is trying to do all they can to make the Class of 2020 feel special.
A few months ago Amarillo seniors were excited for the end of the school year. They had proms and graduation to look forward to. They were ordering their caps and gowns and shopping for dresses. Then Spring Break got here and the beginning of the end of the hopes of returning to the classroom.
Hell Week or some call it Spirit Week, but who actually calls it "spirit week"? I call it prank week for both schools! There is a BIG difference this year though, both Tascosa High and Amarillo High are in the 6A division.
I really was curious as to why AISD would take such a huge game and move it to the first 2 weeks of the high school football season. The Amarillo High VS Tascosa High game attracts so many people, police have to direct traffic, and the stands and parking lot completely pack.
