After Lubbock moved the hearing of a former Texas Tech student to Amarillo courts, he has now been sentenced to life in prison. Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari was accused of plots to attack United States targets using bombs, and just to reiterate, has been found guilty in Amarillo Federal courts.
A man drove from Long Island, New York, into Lower Manhattan earlier today in a van he thought was filled with explosives. He parked the van close to the Federal Reserve building, just a few blocks from the World Trade Center, and planned to detonate it using a cell phone from a nearby hotel.
The explosives, however, were fake.

Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari will be on trial here in Amarillo on June 21st, his original trial date was April 30th in Lubbock, but somehow they weaseled out of the deal.
