The Amarillo Flood 2015 (Photos)

With all the water that has accumulated this summer it has lakes thru-out the city to reach capacity. If you have driven in the area of Paramount & Olsen you will notice the streets and some of the business in the area flooded.

The water has came from Lawrence lake that has now overflowed spilling into the streets. Yesterday I drove by Lawrence lake and noticed people cleaning up the road and sidewalks that have been covered in trash. I spoke to people who were cleaning the area and I asked them "Why are they cleaning it up?" They said that the city probably wont do it and they hate to see all the trash there. Check out some of the pics from around town showing the flooding that has put parts of our city under water. The over-flooded lake has washed up a lot of trash to the streets. Lawrence lake was home to many abandoned cats and no many cats have been found dead due to the flooded lake. With all the rain we have received this is officially "The Amarillo Flood Of 2015!"
