The Toot N’ Totum By My House Was Robbed!
What a way to wake up in south Amarillo! My neighborhood is typically quite. No joke, I watched my neighbors across the street leave all the stuff for a new fence in their driveway for about a month. A good $2,000 in fencing product, just sitting in their driveway, and not a single person took a second glance at it in an effort to steal it. Quite, just the way I like it. Some noise was made this morning though, as the Toot N Totum right down 53rd was subject to an early morning robbery.
"On Tuesday morning, 7-2-13, at about 1:40 AM, two male subjects walked into the Toot ‘n Totum store #61 at 5300 Canyon Dr. One of the males was wearing a light colored pair of sweat pants, a light colored sweat top with the hood pulled up over his head, and his face covered by a light colored piece of cloth. He was carrying a pistol in his hand. The second male was wearing light colored sweat pants, a dark colored sweat top with the hood up over his head, and a dark piece of cloth over his face. This male was carrying what looked to be a club of some sort. They demanded money from the clerks and then left west from the store on foot with an undetermined amount of money. No vehicle was seen or heard. No one was injured in this incident and there have been no arrests."
The case is still under investigation. If you have any information on this robbery, call the Amarillo Police Department or Amarillo Crime Stoppers at (806) 374-4400. Crime Stoppers callers remain anonymous and can earn a reward for information leading to an arrest.
