Winter/Spring Activities In Amarillo – Angels Top 6
During the winter and spring months, it's often too cold to do a lot of outside activities. Fortunately, Amarillo has a bunch of things to do that are indoor. I have spent the past couple days finding the best things to do during the winter/spring month so that I could share with you. A lot of the activities can be enjoyed by the whole family, but would even be fun if you were single or on a date.

Swimming
I know what you're thinking, swimming in the winter? Well yes. West Texas A & M University in Canyon has an awesome recreational center that has an indoor swimming pool. It is a pretty amazing pool equipped with a water slide, lazy river and vortex pool. It will be a great, fun time and give the family a glimpse into the summer. It only cost $5 for a day pass, but you can get a membership for a month or year depending on what you'd like. Fun, fun, fun!

It seems like I hit the theater more in the Winter/Spring months then in the summer. It is a way to get out of the house, but you don't have to been in the cold. There is nothing like theater popcorn and a large coke. Yum! There are always new movies so you will have a large selection from which to choose.

Art Galleries/Museums
Maybe I'm a little nerdy, but I love to go to museums and art galleries and Amarillo is filled with them. If you are into art, you should check out the art galleries at the Sunset Center or the Amarillo Museum of Art. You can also take the kiddos to the Don Harrington Discovery Center, which is filled with a ton of fun stuff to look at. There is also a Railroad Museum and a whole lot more.
