Slumber parties have been around forever!  But a new trend is happening right now.  Boys and girls sleeping in the same room.  Would you let your kids do this?

I was visiting my sister last week when she started telling me about a slumber party my niece was invited to.  A co-ed sleepover.  I was completely shocked!  But I was even more shocked by my sister wanting to let her go.

Sleepovers happen all the time.  As a matter of fact, they are very common for birthdays.  But never have I heard of a co-ed sleepover.  Boys and girls spending the night in the same room worries me a little.  Well, it seems like it is becoming the trend among teens and tweens.

When I saw my 15 year old niece's invitation to a co-ed sleepover birthday party, I immediately thought heck no.  But my sister is totally ok with it.  As a matter of fact she is letting her go.  I immediately did everything I could to convince my sister not to let her go.  Fifteen year olds are filled with uncontrollable hormones.  That usually leads to bad decisions being made.

My sister says she completely trusts my niece and is going to allow her to attend.  Trust or not, 15 year old girls and boys sleeping in the same room is a mistake, in my opinion.  What do you think?
