Amarillo Police officers are hunting down the suspect of the bank robbery that took place 2/12/2013 at the First Bank of Southwest on 34th St. in Amarillo.  Pictures of the suspect have been released in an effort to locate the crook.

Amarillo Police released the following statement:

"OFFICER SUBMITTING RELEASE:  Sgt. Brent Barbee/CPU

DETAILS:  On 2-12-13, at 9:28 AM, officers were sent to the First Bank Southwest at 5701 SW 34th Avenue on a reported bank robbery.  Witnesses told officers that that the suspect walked in the front door, coming from the west side of the building.  The suspect was a male of unknown race, about 5ft. 7inches tall, medium build, wearing a black ski mask, a black hooded jacket, white gloves, and dark pants.  He had his hand inside a jacket pocket as though he had a weapon.  He was carrying some type of small travel bag.  He approached a female teller and told her to give him “all the cash.”  The teller handed him money from the drawer.  The suspect put the money in the bag and walked out of the bank.  He ran to the east and then south.  No one was injured, no weapon was seen, and there is no information about a suspect vehicle available."

For now, the APD has released the 2 photos (above) and I'm currently awaiting video footage from them as well, we're simply waiting on the lab to complete the edited transmission for official release and I'll have that up as soon as I get it.
