Road trip! I definitely think it's about that time to hit up Buc-ee's! Can we agree that a trip to Buc-ee's is a whole experience? Any time we are near one we have to stop and I kid you not, spend no less than an hour in a convenience store! When was the last time you visited a Buc-ee's? Did you feel the same way? Wow, only at a Buc-ee's did I walk away spending a hundred bucks or more!

I don't get it, I don't understand it, I will never be about that life, but not everyone is like me. Some folks are thrill-seekers and I simply live through them. I hear their stories, take their word for it, and vow, per usual never to visit any place that may be haunted, like ever. If you happen to be one of these ghost adventurers or hunters, then this list is definitely for you!

There are things that are synonymous with Texas that many of us natives don't even think about most days. Until you are having a conversation with someone not from Texas and they say hey that movie Friday Night Lights was made here right? Or the famous singer Selena is from here right? You know you've had these types of conversations before and something always comes up.

Right now just by reading the title of this article, I can pop off with 3 answers off the top of my head. Austin? Houston? San Antonio? Those would be my three best guesses of the fastest-growing city in Texas, wait no, it says the United States! Are you kidding me? What an honor, considering we are in competition with cities like New York and L.A. So anyway, am I right?

Ok, let me start by saying this was 1,000% NOT by choice. We were planning a family summer vacation years ago, and genius me decided to try one of those hotel booking sites for the very first time. I was not familiar with any of them or how they worked, and I was winging it. NEVER again.

If there is 1 thing you need to know about Texans, it is that we LOVE our food. Our appreciation for the food in Texas runs deep. Why? Because we believe we have the best. Hands down. Ask any native Texan. What is one of the best things about your state? A true Texan without hesitation will answer the food.

Here we thought we had it bad with cities close by called Pecos, which some folks incorrectly pronounce Pee-cos, or Waxahachie, TX, in which case you're better off trying to pronounce Worcestershire correctly. Unusual names of cities in Texas are not far-fetched. Part of my family once lived in Boerne. I dare you to attempt that one!

Why are we like this? Why are people in general always down for a good ghost story? If seeing is believing, I have not personally seen any of these creepy urban legends with my own 2 eyes but it is safe to say that I do not want to either. I will continue to read or hear about them and pass along the stories for fun and to freak out my fellow Texans.
