FBI Investigates Bastrop County Student Who Was Tased At School
Are we looking at an excessive use of force or misusing of power case here? Whatever the case may be, it's now peaked the interest of the FBI! To me, that says there's something going on here. If the FBI decided to investigate a case, I assume they have a reason behind it. In this incident, the FBI will look into a Bastrop County Sheriff's Deputy that used a stun gun on 17 year old Noe Nino de Rivera, at Cedar Creek High School which resulted in serious injuries.
The school resource officer says he used the stun gun on Rivera because he interfered as officers attempted to break up a fight between 2 girls.
The incident took place on November 20th, 2013, and the FBI has now opened an investigation into the case.
"The FBI will investigate a Central Texas sheriff's deputy use of a stun gun on a high school student that resulted in severe injuries to the 17-year-old. FBI officials tell say the inquiry will look into whether the Bastrop County sheriff's deputy who used the stun gun and another who was at the scene used excessive force on Noe Nino de Rivera or whether they misused their power."
