Harrison Ford was reportedly rushed to a nearby hospital in California after a plane he was piloting crashed into a Los Angeles golf course. TMZ is reporting that Ford suffered from serious injuries including gashes to his head and also appeared to be bleeding. There were allegedly two doctors on site who were able to treat Ford before he was transported to a hospital. TMZ posted a photo of the debris on their Instagram, which you can see below.

Variety reports that Ford was the only person in the plane at the time of the crash. An employee at the Penmar Golf Course -- where Ford's plane crashed -- spoke with NBC News saying, “There was blood all over his face. Two very fine doctors were treating him, taking good care of him. I helped put a blanket under his hip.”

According to a report from CNN, a Los Angeles fire official claimed that the pilot of the plane was "alert and conscious" though he did not outright name Ford. NBC Investigates reporter Andrew Blankstein tweeted about the crash as well as Ford's reported injuries, which you can check out below.

Ford has been flying planes for years and has reportedly suffered crashes a few times before, though this is allegedly the first time he has suffered from serious injuries of any kind. According to Ranker, in 1999, Ford was forced to make an emergency landing and the helicopter he was in rolled over. Thankfully, no one was hurt.

TMZ has video footage of paramedics helping Ford at the scene, which you can check out below.

Ford's son, Ben, tweeted about his father's condition. You can check that out below.

Ford's publicist also released a statement about the crash, saying (quote via E! News), "Harrison was flying a WW2 vintage plane today which had engine trouble upon takeoff. He had no other choice but to make an emergency landing, which he did safely. He is banged up and is in the hospital receiving medical care. The injuries sustained are not life-threatening, and he is expected to make a full recovery."
