It's good to know they're already watching. The forecasts have gone from "ah, it won't be much of anything" to, in some cases, forecasts calling for up to six inches of snow. In true Texas panhandle style, it will either be something you post on Facebook about or complain that nothing happened.

How Much Snow Will Amarillo, Texas, Get This Weekend?

The latest forecast involving how much snow Amarillo will get is a little bit more than the two inches we were huffing and puffing about earlier in the week. The latest from the National Weather Service in Amarillo released information showing that we might get up to six inches.

Six inches of snow at the start of April seems insane, especially when you consider all of the days around 80 degrees that we've had. A lot of us might have been fooled into thinking that winter was long gone. Oh, how wrong we were.

If you have to travel this weekend, be safe about it. Pay attention to forecasts and keep an eye on road conditions. With all of the rain and snow we're expecting, there could be hazardous spots while you're out and about. As for me, I'll be curled up with a bowl of soup and a blanket, waiting for Sunday.
