Nothing seems to strike fear into the heart of people more than tornadoes. They're awe-inspiring and hypnotic from a distance. When they're headed your way, it's worse than the worst nightmare.

They're unpredictable. They leave behind massive amounts of destruction in their wake. Of all the dangers in the panhandle, this one might be the most terrifying. Spring is the season of tornadoes in the panhandle.

Flooding Is A Real Problem In Amarillo, Texas

If you live in Amarillo, you know what happens every time we get a heavy rain. Roads fill with standing water, and getting anywhere in town will give you an adrenaline rush.
