Another day, another round of construction woes in Amarillo, Texas. If you haven't noticed yet, there are some changes on Osage Street you need to know about that are going to last through the end of April.

What Is Happening On Osage Between 34th And 58th In Amarillo, Texas

The City of Amarillo took to social media to give everyone a heads up for what's coming on Osage Street between 34th Ave and 58th Ave. To put it simply, lane closures and changes are coming to that area.

The lane closures will change, which will mean we all need to be paying attention whenever we get on the stretch of Osage between 34th and 58th. If the weather plays nice, we'll only have to deal with this through the end of the month.

Why Are The Lanes Being Closed On Osage Street In Amarillo, Texas

The reason for all of this possible disruption to your commute is that we're currently in the "research phase" of a reconstruction project in that area. This study is being done to gather data that will be used in the future design of reconstruction project.

While this is going on, pay attention and slow down in the area where the study is taking place. Everyone wants to make it home safe at the end of the day. Give crews plenty of room to work, and keep an eye out for them.

All we have to do is make it through the end of the month for this phase of the project. The City does recommend that motorists find other ways of getting where they need to go while the study is being done.
