Crazy Larry’s Second Attempt at Opening is This Week

Amarillo has been patiently waiting for Crazy Larry's on Teckla to reopen. Earlier in the year there was a fire after closing time. That fire has kept them closed since. Amarillo hasn't really been patient. Just do a search on social media to see how many people ask about Crazy Larry's. That is especially true if you are a member of a restaurant group.

We miss our Frito Pie. That is the most talked about food item I have seen. The number one thing and probably the first thing many will order. They better stock up on Fritos. We were first told that they were going to open up in early September.

When that didn't happen we found out what the hold up was. Most of the time it is out of the business owner's control. This is one of those cases. They are ready. They want to open their doors.

They have another opening date ready. They are hoping that this one sticks. Oh, and it is soon. I know Amarillo is ready. Crazy Larry's is giving it a try again this Thursday. If you are ready for their barbecue and especially their Frito Pie then Thursday, October 3rd should be put on your calendar.

When I saw the update on a recent social media post the question was asked if this for sure was going to happen:

So the word has been spread. If you are one of the Crazy Larry's faithfuls you have a date. That date is coming up this Thursday. Hopefully this opening sticks.
