A Sip of Amarillo’s Past: Remembering the Legendary Marshall Coffee Co.

Amarillo has been home to some great businesses over the years.  Businesses that have just faded away and other businesses that remain in our hearts and our memories.

One of those businesses popped up in my memories recently.  I was flipping through social media, and had a picture picture pop up on my Facebook feed and it made me smile.

Marshall Coffee Company

Marshall's was this quaint coffee shop that sat just past 45th on the east side of Bell, 4709 S. Bell to be exact.  It was a locally owned business that served up some great coffee.  However, there was one sweet thing that Marshall did to make your coffee experience extraordinary and it was on their to-go cups.

They would always place the cutest little stickers on the sip hole of the lid.  This would keep your coffee from spilling out, but it also would bring a little joy to your life.

They would always switch up their stickers, but they were always cute every time.   I used to have a collection of them on my car's dash.  They were fun to collect.  It ended up being a large collection after it was all said and done.  I'm sad I never took a picture of my Marshall Coffee Co. sticker collection.

Marshall closed down on August 5, 2017, leaving a hole in the hearts of Amarillo.  It was a great little place to get coffee and those cute stickers.   Less than a year after Marshall Coffee Co. closed, Roaster's opened another location there on April 23, 2018.  That location is still going strong.  However, I don't remember Roaster's ever having cute stickers.

Is there a Coffee Shop in Amarillo that Has Lid Stickers?

The only place that I found that did lid stickers was Dutch Bros.   However, I haven't received a lid sticker on a drink from them in a very long time.  Although they had lid stickers, I must admit while they are cool, they weren't as cute as the Marshall stickers.

I might have a small obsession with collecting coffee lid stickers.   It may be a personal opinion but I think all coffee shops should have these stickers.
