When it comes to a city like Amarillo, you will find signs everywhere. Signs that tell you not to enter, signs that tell you about a business, stop signs, caution signs, and of course, street signs.
The street signs are important because they let you know what street you are on. However, sometimes, the signs aren't always spelled properly.

After the articles suggested they were misspelled, the City of Amarillo reached out to us and let us know that those street signs were spelled correctly and no error had occurred.
Who could forget Panhandle vs. Panhanndle
Well, we ran across another street sign in Amarillo and we're pretty sure that this street sign is missing a letter.
It looks as if Paramount is missing the U in this sign. This could be wrong and suddenly a new street called Paramont was created. However, that's not the case because the sign directly across the street is spelled correctly.
Hey, it's an imperfect world and letters disappear all the time. It was an honest mistake. Everyone makes typos. Heck, there may be typos in this article. No matter how many timesmisamarill you re-read it before publishing, a typo remains.
It makes you wonder how many people have driven by this sign and it didn't register that it was misspelled. The mind has a funny way of making things look correct when they aren't. Either way, it's obvious that you are on Paramount Street.
