Watch the Lights Sparkle at WT’s Festival of Lights
Another time-honored tradition you don't want to miss is WTAMU's Festival of Lights.
The holidays at WTAMU will be an office on Thursday, December 1st at the university lights up. Over 80,000 lights will twinkle all over the WTAMU campus.
The official lighting of WT's Christmas lights and the winter carnival. The event will take place from 5:30-7:30 pm at the Charles K. and Barbara Keer Vaughn Pedestrian Mall.
“Festival of Lights is a reminder of the beauty of getting together with family and friends and spreading holiday cheer,” said Ransom Colette, RHA national communications coordinator.
As a part of the Festival of Lights, you can enjoy a hot chocolate bar, outdoor games, a photo booth, cookie, and ornament decorating, and holiday treats.
The winter carnival will have all sorts of fun family-friendly activities. Plus Christmas music from the WT Chamber singers.
WT President Walter Wendler, along with Studen Government Association President Annie Valicek, and RHA vice president of internal affairs, Kennedy Fritzler, will speak at the event.
This just marks the fun weekend of Christmas fun in Canyon. Don't miss the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum's Christmas Open house 10 am -4 pm on Friday, December 3rd, and all the Christmas in Canyon fun on Saturday, December 4th.
Mark your calendars for the WT Symphony Orchestra’s holiday concert in the Mary Moody Northern Recital Hall on December 4th, at 7 pm. Admission is free, but you will need a ticket.
Canyon has got the holidays going on, so if you are looking for a ton of family fun, it all kicks off on Thursday, December 1st.
