It has been one rough week for ‘Glee’ star Naya Rivera. TGIF.

Just days ago rumors were flying that the 27-year-old had lost her recurring gig as Santana Lopez on Fox’s musical dramedy following an off-screen tiff with co-star Lea Michele. Rivera relied on a report from her rep to dismiss the gossip, and followed it up with her own cheerful Glee-related tweet to clear the air.

The rumor mill isn’t finished with Rivera just yet. Yesterday Billboard reported that her label, Columbia Records, had dropped the actress-turned-singer. She had first landed the record deal in 2011, and subsequently released a debut single, ‘Sorry,’ this past September. No reason was provided for why the contract would have been abruptly called off.

Publicist Samantha Hill didn’t wait long to respond to the news, reaching out to Gossip Cop to report, “The newest story claiming that Naya Rivera was dropped from her recording contract with Columbia Records is absolutely false.”

As an added bonus, Hill also rejected any notion that Rivera was booted from ‘Glee.’ “To be clear,” she continued, “any rumors or statements made as fact, that Naya Rivera was fired or let go from ‘Glee’ or dropped from her recording contract, are categorically false.”

Phew. For now, it seems like Rivera still has secure jobs as both an actress and a singer. Now let’s give her a little break, at least for the weekend!
