Roswell’s UFO Festival Still Going Strong

I am a huge believer in that we are not alone in the Universe.  I believe that I have even seen a UFO or two in my time.  And I am not alone.  Thousands will flock to Roswell this weekend to participate in the annual UFO Festival.

Roswell is notorious for UFO's and Aliens so it only makes sense to hold a UFO Festival there each year.  After the infamous UFO crash of 1947, the town began it's festival in 1955.  All these years later, it is still going strong.

This Thursday through Sunday a bunch of different events will be taking place, including an Alien Chase, costume contest, and more.

The Alien Chase will consist of two categories-10k and 5k.  The winners will receive a ceramic commemorative alien. Awards will also be given for well-costumed alien runners or walkers.

The costume contest will consist of two categories as well-a pet and human.  The top three pets will get a trophy and the first place will receive $50.  In the human division, second-place winners receive a trophy, while first-place winners receive a trophy, $50 and eligibility for a $250 best of show award.

There will also be a series of lectures and other fun activities happening throughout the city.  It's sure to be outta this world!
