Last night around 9pm, Amarillo firefighters responded to a structure fire on the 900 block of S. Van Buren in Amarillo. A fire that was taking place in the lower level of the Amarillo Globe News paper printing building.
Oh dude this was hilarious to watch as Jay Leno pointed out an Amarillo Globe News article about Hail Storms on the Tonight Show on NBC. The article had a quote from NWS meteorologist, Krissy Scotten, who was quoted to have "scooped up a pile of ping-pong sized hail" and said "it was like holding ice". And that's it, that's the punch line.
Today a 10 year old girl was struck on her bike by a car crossing the street. Two girls were out bike riding this evening at around 7:25 when they stopped at a stop sign near South 8th Avenue.
