We really need to lighten up a bit. We need to enjoy the funny things we see here in Amarillo. If you just drive around town you will see many things that you can only see in Amarillo.

There's actually a live stream now from the Big Texan where you can watch people, in real time, try and defeat the 72oz steak challenge.

I mean every city has "their thing". I know Amarillo is not alone. I moved here back in 1986 and the things I have discovered about this area. Oh my goodness. I still think Amarillo is a great place to live. We just have some weird stuff. Oh and these weird things seem to be absolutely normal to everyone here.

How many 72oz steaks will 5 grand buy? How many WOW passes? How many Sod Poodles tickets? We did the math.

We need a local grocery store to step up to the plate and give us totes to be proud of. Some that are uniquely Amarillo. Here are five ideas to get you started.

The Big Texan steak eating champion Molly Schulyer  decided to tackle this 9 1/2 lb breakfast burrito from Grandma's Cocina. The burrito was made with  75 eggs, cheese, bacon, sausage, potatoes, tomatoes, and chorizo wrapped in multiple tortillas...

Today on 'The Hacker Morning Show' we had The Big Texan steak eating champion Molly Schulyer on the show. After eating 3 - 72oz. steaks at The Big Texan last-night (April 19th), Molly stopped by and accepted another challenge live on the air.

This little petite woman (who only weighs 120 pounds!) from Nebraska rolled into the Big Texan on Monday to crush the 9-minute 72-ounce steak record set a few years ago by competitive eater Joey Chestnut.

This is unbelievable! Competitive eater Molly Schuyler from Bellevue, Neb., ate not one, but TWO of the 72-ounce steaks that Amarillo's Big Texan restaurant is famous for this weekend!
