Once that calendar changed to October everything fun and just a little bit spooky took precedence in Amarillo. We didn't even really wait until the start of the month. We are ready for all the fall activities.

As we are making our way through October there are a lot of things going on. What a difference a year makes. I mean after a year of nothing we now, more than ever, need to make sure we keep a calendar of events. If we don't we might miss out on something we really wanted to go to.

Halloween is right around the corner and that means it's almost time for an Amarillo tradition - BOO at the ZOO.

One of the Amarillo Zoo's largest events returns for three days of fun. It features costumed characters like a tiger, lion, donkey, peacock, kangaroo and others handing out candy treats. Plus there will be plenty of ghoulish games, face painting, costume contests and more to ensure a howling good time...

It seems that Halloween has become more of an adult holiday than it is for kids.  Well, not at my house.  As a matter of fact, we try to make it a family holiday.  We all dress up and make sure our son has the best time.  Here are some fun family activities that you might enjoy!
