The Texas A&M Forest Service announced today that the wildfire danger is high today.  Which means once again we have to be prepared for the threat of wildfire, and that includes the Perryton Fire that continues to burn.

With the lack of rain, dry air and wind the Texas Panhandle has been primed for wildfires. The grassfire between Fritch and Sanford is still a major issue with only 35% of the fire contained.

The wildfire in the Lake Meredith area has affected many people and destroyed as close as 100 homes. Many families are going back to homes with nothing!
