I visited the people underneath Pierce St. bridge in Amarillo, who call themselves 'Tent City' and since then they are being forced to leave. The city originally gave them till Tuesday at 5pm to move out from under the bridge or there would be warrants issued and arrests would be made, but after discussion they decided 24 hours would not be enough time so the city has extended their stay a bit longer.

After talking about the topic on the show on Monday night,  many calls came in from people saying that the city should leave them alone or try to help them get back up on their feet. I also had a gentleman, "Chad", call up to offer his assistance by helping some of them relocate to other cities with jobs. He also wanted to help them get proper ID's and is also helping a pregnant women get a apartment.

People can judge on how these people live, smell, and look. But, they don't know what it's like to be homeless till they are in their shoes. After visiting 'Tent City' I really would like to say these are some nice people just trying to get back on their feet.

I wish them the best of luck!
