Who’s Happier On A Child’s Birthday: Mom or The Kid?

Birthdays are a huge deal at my house, especially my son's.  I want him to know how happy I am to have him as mine and how loved he is.  I'll admit I tend to go a little overboard.  I feel that his birthday is not only his day to celebrate, but my day as well.

My son's birthday is fast approaching and I find myself at the same place every year-when, how big and where to have is birthday!  No matter how many times I tell myself not to go overboard, it happens.  It seems to get bigger every year.  I just want to make sure his birthday is one to remember.

Besides the fact that my son will have the time of his life, I feel like his birthday is my day too.  The day he was born was the best day of my life.  To be given such a perfect gift is something that I hold dear to my heart.  So when I begin planning his birthday, I make sure that it is at a place we can have fun together.

It is my day too!  I am grateful for everyday that passes that I get to spend with my beautiful son.  So his birthday is kind of like my birthday.  I get so excited to see him have fun and open gifts.  It is truly warms my heart.

So from now on, if you see me on my son's birthday feel free to wish me a Happy Birthday, too!
