Would a four day week help or hurt the students of Amarillo? Other states are doing it. Could Texas be next to put this plan into play?

A school district in Colorado started to go with a plan to have a four day school week. This district claims that this will save $1 million per year. Parents who work on Monday's say this will cost them more money. Child care is being offered for kids 12 and under for $30 a day. This plan goes into effect this week.

So as a parent, what advantage do we have making the week shorter? I am sitting here scratching my head trying to come up with something. I mean I guess you can plan a nice three day weekend with you children. I have nothing outside of that.

Now if you are a kid, you would love this plan. This will be great when a special event like the Super Bowl happens and you get to bed late. Kids would love this more than the adults.

What do you think? Would this help you if the school week was shorter?
