***SHOOTING AT THE MIDNIGHT RODEO*** Amarillo Police Ask For Help Solving Crime Of The Week

Amarillo Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving the crime of the week which stems from the Midnight Rodeo, a very popular bar/club in Amarillo.  The door man was shot in the back on Monday night, and if you gotta tip that leads to an arrest, you could get up to $1,000 for helping!  And this is a very serious situation, if you have information, please come forward.

Thankfully, he suffered "non life-threatening injuries" and was transported to the hospital immediately so he's going to be fine the doctors believe.  The name has not been officially released at the moment.

Amarillo Crime Stoppers sent this out in their COW (crime of the week):

"Amarillo Crime Stoppers needs your help with this week’s Crime Of the Week. On March 10^th an employee of the Midnight Rodeo was standing near the front door. A pop was heard and the employee realized he had been shot in the back. It’s unknown who or what caused the shooting to occur. If you have any information about this or any other crime, call Amarillo Crime Stoppers at (806) 374-4400 or submit a tip on-line at amapolice.org. If your tip leads to an arrest or recovery of stolen property, you could get a reward of up to $1,000"

Having worked in pretty much every bar and club in this city, I can tell you I do personally know the employees at the Midnight Rodeo, and they are good people just like you and I.  The staff is just there to do their job and collect a pay check so they can feed their family just like the rest of us, so why anyone would feel compelled to "pop a door guy" is beyond me.

My guess, some wanna be thug who doesn't know how to handle his alcohol probably got thrown out of the club and that pissed him off because he was "dissed in public dog".  So he retaliated in the form of shooting an innocent door guy.  Again, just my speculation there, because I've seen so many of those wanna be thugs out in the clubs.  Hey guess what, I have guns too, but you don't see me packing them into clubs do you!?

Sorry for the rant, I'm just so PO'd about this whole ordeal.  When you shoot a person, you're attempting to take their life and nobody, I mean NOBODY on this planet has the right to choose who lives and who dies!

So if you know this person that was so coward they had to do a drive by shooting and cap and innocent man in the back I urge you to do the right thing and make the call or submit a tip online!  Please, I'm being super serious here!  Imagine if it was your brother or dad or a friend that got shot, that's how I'm feeling.  A friend of mine took a bullet to the back and I want justice!  Batman isn't real folks, you have to be the super hero here!
