There’s no arguing that superheroes currently own the cineplex, but in a slight change of pace, one of this upcoming summer’s cape-clad defenders won’t hail from the pages of Marvel or DC. Kids (and nostalgia fetishists in their mid-to-late twenties) will get a colorful crimefighter of a different stripe with Captain Underpants, the computer-animated adaptation of Dav Pilkey’s long-running line of sophomoric chapter books about a delusional elementary school principal’s adventures in doo-doo derring-do. The first trailer hit the internet today, and if you were wondering if it contains the same Steve Aoki club banger as the War Dogs trailer, then have I got some good news for you!
I'm just like Jimmy Fallon, I am terrified of haunted houses but I love going to them! If you've ever seen any videos of me going through a haunted house, then you'll know what I'm talking about.
I admire anyone who tries to bring something new to a very stale genre or format. The standup movie or special has remained basically the same for decades. The venues change, the material and comedians change, but the general aesthetics don’t; a man or woman and a microphone, a stage, a bunch of cameras, a couple of reaction shots of crowds laughing, and that’s pretty much it.
Just a day after getting arrested on a battery charge and spending a day in jail Kat is back in the media. Kat has not only put a challenge out there but wants to bet Kevin Hart $1 million bucks!
Talking dogs and cats have been a staple of animation since the medium’s earliest days, but The Secret Life of Pets trailer actually presents a fairly fresh take on this trope. The talking animals here are ordinary house pets, alone all day while their humans are at work, and we get to see how they pass the time.
The dust has barely settled from the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, and already we’ve got a look at the lineup for the 2015 South by Southwest Film Festival. After an initial announcement that included opening night film ‘Brand,’ about comedian Russell Brand,’ things have filled out really nicely with a ton of promising-sounding selections.
Did you watch the Super Bowl last night? No, no, not the one with the footballs and Gatorade and stuff, the one with Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart and Jimmy Fallon and the most eye-popping, gut-busting lip sync battle ever? That's the only "big game" we need.
To be clear, this is not the trailer for ‘Die Hard.’ Or ‘Spy Hard.’ Or ‘Drive Hard.’ Or ‘Walk Hard’ (although that’s closer). No, this is the trailer for ‘Get Hard.’ Good, glad we cleared that up.
The odd couple is one of the basic principles of comedy. You take two very different people, fling them into an absurd situation and (hopefully) rack up some good laughs. The ‘Get Hard’ trailer shows off one of the more inspired comedic pairings in recent memory, with the tall whiter-than-white Will Ferrell teaming up with the short black Kevin Hart. If the differences between two lead actors generated laughs on their own, then this is already the funniest movie of 2015.
'Tonight Show' host Jimmy Fallon and screechy-voiced comedian Kevin Hart both hate roller coasters, but the guys decided to face their fears together (aww) by taking a special spin on Universal Studio Orlando's massive Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster.
