Someone must have got some cat poop in their stocking or something.  Typically, the day after Christmas, we're all out returning the stuff we didn't want and spending the money we got from grandma.  But somebody was naughty and didn't get enough I guess, so they went and took it out on a Bank of America in Amarillo by robbing them!

It seems that over the past few weeks Amarillo has seen an increase in crime, especially robberies.  Do you think the strain of the holidays is pushing people to robbery?

Around 3:40am this morning, an armed robbery took place at the Toot N Totum at 3609 S. Washington in Amarillo.  Police are searching for the man that took an unknown amount of cash from the convenience store.

The First Bank Southwest, located at 5701 SW 34th St. in Amarillo, was robbed at approximately 12:30pm this afternoon and police are asking for your help in catching the suspect(s)!

I have heard of people wearing masks or putting a nylons over their head to disguise their look during robberies.

I gotta say, convenience store workers simply do not get paid enough money for this!  How you going to pay somebody $7 an hour to risk their life everyday for your store, and on top of that, expect them to have a good attitude at work...

You might remember CiCi's pizza being robbed last year.  If not, no big deal, that's not the important part of this story.  What is important is that Amarillo Police have made 4 arrests in the case, thanks to good ol' DNA.
