I was driving down Bell this morning when I came across this at the Belpree intersection.  A traffic light in Amarillo oh just kinda missing.  Well, it's not missing, it's just twisted up and on the ground.  Not long after I passed it, I learned that a car struck the pole and knocked down the traffic light.

Well, it's not really "road construction", it's actually a water main line being replaced by the city of Amarillo Utility Department that will cause possible delays and lane closures on SW 46th Ave. in Amarillo for the rest of May 2013.

I'm not sure why, but every time I'm running late it seems that there are even more traffic obstacles than usual.  I think it is some kind of running late curse.

The City of Amarillo sent out a press release today about forthcoming road closures that are set to start April 9th, 2013. The City of Amarillo "Utilities Division" will soon be replacing sanitary sewer lines in two different areas, causing traffic to be rerouted in a few places.

TxDot is hitting the highways this afternoon with their snowplows to get all the remaining snow off the medians on highways I-40 & I-27, commuters should expect delays early this afternoon from about 1:30pm till about 3:30-4:00pm!

****Update**** Highway 287 is no longer closed, it's now just moving very slow! I've received confirmations that Highway 287 is closed due to a traffic accident, causing delays, and maybe even some road rage.

It is hard enough driving in Amarillo with all the stupid drivers lately, but this week we will be having another obstacle to overcome-road construction.  There is going to be on going road construction throughout Amarillo all week.

A woman wearing little more than her troubles created a traffic snarl in a Pittsburgh suburb last week. Police in Monongahela, Pa. say that the woman parked her car along the town’s West Main Street and emerged from the vehicle topless.
