It seems that college sexual assaults are on the rise. Over the weekend, campus police were called to investigate an alleged sexual assault on the WTAMU campus.

It's been a discussion for a few years, with a final decision made. Students at WTAMU in Canyon, TX will no longer have to worry about looking both ways before crossing the street, at least on 26th street. On August 25th, the street will be permanently closed to vehicles, with no cars, trucks or SUV's driving on it.

I'm getting several reports of a protest taking place right now at WTAMU in Canyon, TX. Liberty Baptist Church of Amarillo is allegedly at WTAMU protesting to the students, speaking out against homosexuality and even other things.

More sad news as another Amarillo/Canyon resident is taken before their time. Shelbi McClure (pictured on the left side of image above), a 21 year old sophomore and cheerleader at WT, died just after 12m this morning as a train struck her car on 4th St.
