West Texas Charity Dove Hunt Supports First Responder Families

We love a good event for charity here in Amarillo, and we're particularly fond of our first responders. We pay them a ton of respect and show that love in various ways. I've seen some just walk up to a police officer standing guard and shake their hand.

Why do we do that? We know it's a tough job. We know that it can come with serious consequences. These people put their lives on the line for ours. Some lives have been forever altered due to a serious injury, while others have lost their life in the line of duty.

What Is The 100 Club Of West Texas

This is where the 100 Club of West Texas comes in. They provide support for the families of those who've had someone injured, or worse, lost their lives protecting us. They provide financial assistance to those families, as well as support and resources to enhance their safety and welfare.

It's not something they can do on their own. They rely on donations, memberships, and different events throughout the year in order to be able to get the funds they need to help these families. It truly is one of the best charities out there.

5th Annual Dove Hunt Classic

One of the things they have been doing for the past few years is a dove hunt, and this year, it returns for its fifth year. Happening on September 11 from 1 pm to 10 pm in Lubbock at Final Descent Guide Services, the guided dove hunt will take place to help those families.

This is an afternoon dove hunt that will be done by seasoned guides who know how to make the experience a memorable and successful one, with prime fields to hunt on, and yes, plenty of birds for you to take a shot at. At the end of it, they'll have a cookout with your grilled favorites and dove poppers and, yes, an open bar.

How Can I Register

Registration is simple and easy. Go to their website and select your option. You can get an individual ticket for $200, or a team of two can get in for $350. If you're a first responder, your team of two is only $300. Don't want to hunt but you want to be there? Grab a dinner ticket for just $50. They also have various sponsor levels if that's something you're looking to do.

There are other ways to be a part of it without being there, and you could even win some stuff. They will be raffling off five different items, four of them being guns. You can purchase raffle tickets and shoot your shot there. You get to donate to the cause, and you could walk away with something new and shiny. You can get raffle tickets here.
