"It's Amarillo, there's nothing to do here." How many times have you heard someone say this when talking about the city? It seems to be a common refrain from a lot of people.

Maybe it's that those people haven't explored the city, or they just don't dig what's available to them. However, I find that second thought tough to believe.

All you have to do is expand your mind a bit and you'll find there is so much to do in Amarillo. You don't have to be an outdoors person to find things to do here. I know there is a perception of that because of Palo Duro Canyon being in our backyard.

We are full of museums and historical areas to see, some incredible restaurants to visit, whether for the food or the ambience, and all sorts of different little quirks.

I mean, if you haven't rolled through Route 66 and just spent some time on 6th St, then you haven't even begun to scratch the surface of things you can do in Amarillo. Sure, a lot of tourists roll through Amarillo on a Route 66 tour, but it's not ALL touristy.

So I'm here to dispel the concept of "there's nothing to do in Amarillo" because quite honestly, there is plenty to do here. No matter whether you're a local that lives here, or someone that is just rolling through town, you'll find something to keep you busy.
