New York experienced another tragedy this morning.  A disgruntled employee hunted down his ex-boss and shot him dead before opening fire on the crowded street. 

It all began this morning as a disgruntled employee, who was fired from his job yesterday, hunted down his manager and shot him dead.    Jeffery Johnson, 33, had worked at Hazan Imports for 6 years and was fired due to downsizing.  The shooter than ran.

A nearby construction worker followed him to the front of the Empire State Building.  He then notified police officers standing guard in front.   The officers immediately reacted and shot the gunman.  Leaving him and his primary victim dead.

During the confrontation between the gunman and police officers 9 bystanders were injured.  It is unknown if the injured were shot by the gunman or officers.  However, non of the injuries were serious.  The wounds include shots in the foot, leg and buttocks.

They do know that he was carrying a .45 caliber handgun. As of right now, the area is blocked off and the situation is still under investigation.
