‘Zoey 101′ Star Cries After Being Left Out of Cast Reunion, Says Incident ‘Triggered Childhood Trauma’
Last week, word came out that a Zoey 101 reboot may be in the works, followed by photos of nearly the whole cast reuniting, and while fans of the Nickelodeon series were over the moon there is one person who's not taking the news very well.
Alexa Nikolas, who played Nicole Bristow in the show's first two seasons, expressed the hurt she felt about not being invited to the reunion in a series of emotional Instagram videos. In the clips she revealed that the potential reboot is "triggering childhood trauma."
The actress was fired after the second season due to "constant offscreen fights" with the show's star Jamie Lynn Spears. In 2005, it was reported that Jamie Lynn's older sister Britney Spears stormed the set to confront Nikolas for feuding with her sister. Nikolas herself later confirmed the rumors.
According to TMZ, the potential reboot would follow Zoey Brooks' life 10 years after we last saw her onscreen. Jamie Lynn would reprise her titular role but with "some major changes," which would probably include her character having children.
The Zoey 101 reboot hasn't officially received the green light yet, and we're unsure if any of the other original cast members would be a part of it.
