Adult Flag Football League Launches in Amarillo

A lot of what you see when it comes to sports league registrations in Amarillo is geared toward the youth leagues. Sure, they are the ones who are chasing dreams and playing the majority of sports, but what about the adults?

Sure, we aren't necessarily chasing our dreams any longer when it comes to being a professional athlete, but a lot of us still like to play the sports we grew up playing. We may not be as fast or as reliable as we once were, but let us play!

Are There Adult Sports Leagues In Amarillo

The short answer to this is yes. I've seen (and played in) adult slow-pitch softball leagues. I've seen plenty of advertising for adult kickball leagues. Basketball seems to have several adult leagues for people to join.

However, I haven't seen anything about a golf league, and truthfully, I hadn't seen anything for those older people wanting to play some football...until now.

Adult Amarillo Flag Football League Surfaces

Established just this year, the Amarillo Adult Flag League is offering up the opportunity for us old guys to blow out our Achilles and roll our ankles multiple times.

Ok, being serious though, the league is offering up a league that will feature 5v5 contests each Sunday out at Memorial Park through pretty much the month of October.

What's The Cost & How Do I Sign Up

If you've got a full team ready to go, the fee is $250 to enter your team, which is really cheap when you look at some other leagues around the city. You can also sign up as a free agent if you don't have a full team, and they'll do the work to find you a squad.
