Couple Arrested After Poolside Romp at Amarillo Apartments

Nothing is more entertaining than reading the arrest logs in Amarillo. Look, I've lived in some big cities, but I swear I have seen the strangest arrests here.

The saying is "Keep Austin Weird", but I swear it's more applicable to Amarillo at times. One of the more recent arrests doesn't push me off that theory.

Where Did This Arrest Happen

This one happened to be at an apartment complex, and one of the nicer ones in the area at that. Located off of Coulter, right across from Preston West Golf Course, are the Salt Fork Apartments.

A relatively new build place, it's nestled away just enough from where the construction and building end, so it can be relatively quiet, especially when the golf course isn't open. When the course IS open, it provides some nice views.

What Happened At Salt Fork

A couple seemed to assume they were tucked away like the apartments, but it turns out, they weren't. This couple decided to have some drinks by the pool on a lazy Sunday afternoon, but you know what they say about drinking, right? One thing leads to another.

That's exactly what happened in this case. The alcohol took over, they got a little... touchy-feely, let's say, and someone inside the complex, or maybe at the pool itself, happened to see what was going on.

Police Were Called, Couple Arrested

It seems this couple wanted to knock a little something off their bucket list, and that they certainly did. Their little pool romp ended with them being arrested after the caller told police they were watching “two people having sex by the pool”.

That little Sunday romp led to the couple being arrested for public intoxication, and you guessed it, public lewdness. They were booked and released the same day, and now get to relive their romp in court.
