Every day there is a fugitive on the loose, and in just about every city in America. Well, Amarillo is no different. We have numerous fugitives that are either roaming the streets of Amarillo, or committed a crime here that they're wanted for.

Funny thing is, a lot of people have no idea they're considered a fugitive. If you have a warrant out for your arrest due to say an unpaid traffic ticket, technically you are a fugitive. However, you don't land on the "fugitive of the week" list.

That's reserved for "real" criminals, people who have committed some serious and heinous crimes that they've been charged with. Lately, I've seen a lot of people wanted for things such as stealing cars, assault, etc.

Not Benjamin Marin. He's Amarillo's "fugitive of the week" and is currently charged with three counts of indecency with a child sexual contact.

Some of these crimes happened decades ago. In fact, the first incident occurred back on New Year's Day in 2000, where he allegedly touched the breast of a girl under 17 years of age. The next incident police were made aware of happened in June of 2012, and it was for the same exact thing.

Marin is a Hispanic male, approximately 5'3", weighs roughly 220 pounds, and has brown hair and eyes.

If you see him, or know anything about his whereabouts, you are encouraged to contact Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 806-374-4400. If you'd rather submit a tip online, you can do that as well by going to amapolice.org or use the P3 tips app.
