The holiday season is here and it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.  Nothing kicks of Christmas like a parade.  Center City of Amarillo is gearing up for the 18th Annual Electric Light Parade!

Thanksgiving is over, so that means Christmas time!  The city is gearing up for Christmas by decorating their yards and houses, but nothing quite gets the spirit going like a good parade.

This Friday, December 6th, Center City of Amarillo will be hosting their 18th annual Electric Light Parade.  The theme will once again beThe Nutcracker. Floats will be decorated with hundreds of beautiful lights.

The parade starts at 11th Ave. and Polk Street.  It will end at the Amarillo Globe-News Center for Performing Arts.  There will be a short musical program and Santa will be there.  Then, Mayor Paul Harpole will light the city's Christmas Tree.

It will be a fun way to spend Friday night with your family!
