Amarillo Man Arrested for Third Time On Same Charge

A man living in Amarillo has been arrested for possession of child pornography, and it isn't his first time being arrested on these charges.

Ronnie Craig Lance was taken into custody on Thursday, August 22, 2024 on a possession of child pornography with a previous conviction charge, which is a second-degree felony.

It seems Lance hasn't learned his lesson despite the many different times he has been arrested for the same exact charge.

Back in 2011 while living in Wolfforth, Lance was charged with possession of child pornography and sentenced to seven years in federal prison for having images on his laptop.

He ultimately pleaded guilty in that case in June 2011, but was allowed to remain free as a part of pre-trial release. He did however have conditions with being allowed to remain free, and one of those conditions was no pornography of any sort.

It didn't take him long as in July 2011, Lance was accused by federal officials of looking at images of underage girls on a computer and was locked up at that time.

Fast forward to March 29, 2021 when Lance was once again arrested by the United States Marshals, this time in Randall County. At the time, Lance was on a supervised release and had conditions to stay free. Sadly, he reverted back to his old ways and was picked up on that.

Now here we are again, 2024 and Lance once again finds himself behind bars after the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigation Division concluded an investigation into him and found he'd once again been involved with child pornography.
