Amarillo Man Confesses Possession of Child Pornography
James Kenny Crawley, stood in front of a federal judge today and pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography.
Crawley faces up to 20 years in federal prison, a $250,000 fine, and a lifetime registration as a sexual offender. He will face sentencing at a later date.
According to the report:
"Crawley used a laptop computer at his residence to search the Internet for images and videos of child pornography. In the course of searching for this material, Crawley located, downloaded and viewed approximately 5,000 images and over 100 videos constituting child pornography, and some of those images involved prepubescent minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct."
Project Safe Childhood brought the case forward, PCH is an initiative to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse. The project help locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children.
