Amarillo Man Dies From Electrocution

A sad story coming out of Amarillo as a man who was just doing his everyday job died at work.  A tree trimmer, 46 year old Emiliano Garcia, was up in a tree trimming away limbs when the absolute worst case scenario took place.  Garcia was electrocuted and pronounced dead on the scene.

Amarillo Police:

"On 10-22-13, at 9:35 AM, officers were sent to a home in the 2000 block of S. Milam on an occupational accident. Officers learned that tree trimmers had been working in the back yard. One of the workers was roped into a tree and using tree spikes while using a pole saw to cut limbs. The pole saw touched the power line running to the residence, and the man was electrocuted. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The victim was Emiliano Garcia HM age 46 of Amarillo."

Amarillo Justice of the Peace Debbie Horn has ordered an autopsy for Garcia.
