Amarillo Prostitution Sting Leads To 6 Arrests

Female Amarillo Police officers went undercover last night on the Amarillo Blvd, posing as prostitutes, and busting some "Johns".  The female officers engaged men in conversation who were approaching them to discuss sexual activities in exchange for money.  A total of 6 men were arrested and booked into Potter County!

Amarillo Police:

"Amarillo Police conducted a prostitution sting on Amarillo Blvd on 12-12-13 utilizing undercover female officers. The female officers were acting as prostitutes and would engage in conversation with male customers who approached them wanting to engage in sexual activities in exchange for money. A total of six men were arrested and booked into the Potter Co Corrections Center. The list below is of the men arrested and charged with Prostitution and other charges.

1.) 13-532881 Marcos Justin Martinez, 23 year old Hispanic male of Amarillo Tx- Resisting Arrest- Escape- Prostitution

2.) 13-532887 Martin Alanzo Martinez, 23 year old Hispanic male of Amarillo Tx

3.) 13-532892 Mohamed Seid Berkaat, 22 year old black male of Amarillo Tx

4.) 13-532901 Justin Robert Shepard , 28 year old white male of Amarillo Tx

5.) 13-532904 Everado Gallardo, 21 year old Hispanic male of Perryton Tx

6.) 13-532890 Billy Clyde Welling, 34 year old white male of Amarillo Tx- (Evading, Prostitution)"
