People move for various reasons. Some for career like I did, some do it because they are hunting a lower cost of living, and others, well they just do it for fun.

I've never moved just for fun, I can tell you that. However, there are some places I would LIKE to move to. Some of them because cost of living is crazy good, others because they just seem like a ton of fun.

It seems those are the two main reasons people end up moving away from Amarillo. When I saw the top 10 places Amarillo residents head to when they leave the city, I wasn't overly shocked.

Places like Borger and Pampa seemed like places people were headed to in order to find cheaper housing and just an overall lower cost of living. Very practical moves.

Then there were the big cities, such as Houston and Dallas. Yes, tons of opportunity there for career growth and new jobs, but also great nightlife and tons of events going on constantly.
